Evaluation: technologies
Photoshop skills have developed where I have been taught several new things on the use of tools and how to arrange my three media products. To start with, editing the models flaws and blemishes, etc. I have learnt to adjust these by using perhaps the brush tool to cover it, blending, blur or patch tool. Each one of these served my editing for different purposes and helped to create a fresh looking touch to my model, perfecting an icon/ role model for my audience.
Text was introduced to me during the session work and I am now aware of how to change the font style, colour, arrangement, size, gapping, etc. Again each one has come in handy where I have needed to show a range of fonts to keep my audience interested. Showing a small variety could loose their interest and show a lack of skill/ effort.
As I also studying photography, this provided skill in my takings of the photographs; concentrating on compositions such as rule of thirds, background information, lighting, costume and more. The images were taken free-hand but again, relating back to Photoshop experience I was shown how to straighten up image using 'obituary' which automatically set my image straight.
Shapes came in handy where my font was getting lost no matter what colour I used. My cover page presents a few showing some as opaque, a mixed inverted and gradient fade.
Magazines need to be perfect for alignments therefore I used rulers and added my own at predicted measurements to enable that everything was in line and fitted within the space that I had.
Evaluation: target audience
Below I present a representation of a typical member of my audience which might appear to look like; interested in fashion and are up-to-date with the recent styles. Keen interest in music following their favourite artists and checking up for their new hits.
- Gender: female
- Age: 19 years old
- Class: C1, C2, D ranking
Psychographics
Shopaholic who likes to shop in high retail companies such as Topshop, River Island and Zara.
Music preference of R&B and Soul, Pop, Chart Hits. Prefer films that show social expectations/ reality, also enjoy comedy. Like to see elements of fashion/ romance. Films like 27 Dresses, The Devil Wears Prada, The One. One who likes their TV programmes; Friends, Big Bang Theory, American Horror Story.
My magazine targets the young, aspiring fashion market. I believe it advertises what they would be looking for, such as top trends, recent trends, what they should and shouldn't wear, etc. It fits in with the age group classing them as young adults providing mature content.

Construction Schedule
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
This table presents how I constructed my time for the duration of making my fashion music magazine. From the 10 weeks that I had to complete all three media products, I believe I achieved poorly. I made a lot of changes during the process where I would be going back on myself often and realising things that I could add to achieve something with potential. I am very pleased with the outcome but I now realise that I need to work better with the time that I have and prepare myself fully before going in with the main tasks. Overall my time consuming could be improved.
